In real estate, the term "speed to lead" is often emphasized, which means calling leads quickly without delay. Some even say it should be within 5 minutes or 5 seconds. However, being fast is not the most important aspect of real estate.

The most crucial aspect is persistence. The top 1% real estate agents in the country got to where they are by staying consistent in the long run. Real estate is a long-term game, and it requires patience and persistence to be successful.

Studies have shown that even if two agents are given the same 10 leads, the results can be vastly different. The reason is that some agents stick with it, while others don't.

At the beginning of chasing a lead, 95% of agents will make the first call, but by the second call, the number drops to 66%, and by the third call, it drops to 33%. By the fourth call and beyond, only 1 out of 10 agents still pursue that lead.

This 1 out of 10 agents is the top 1% of agents in the country who understand the long-term commitment of calling leads, no matter how many calls it takes.

To be successful in real estate, it's essential to stay in constant communication with your database, keep a pulse on what's going on in their lives, and follow up with them regularly.

Don't be afraid to make the call and follow up, even if it takes 4 calls or 40 calls. This is the mantra of the mega-agents who have achieved greatness in their careers.

At the end of the year, don't be surprised to find that people in your database have closed with another agent. The key is to keep making calls, following up, and never giving up. If you stay patient and keep prospecting, this will be the most successful year of your life, guaranteed.
