Multiplying Your Website's Content for Maximum Lead Generation
A lot of agents use real estate websites like a business card. It sits there collecting dust—only sent to leads so they can learn more about services.
It's not actually helping you generate more leads.
Erin Alls, real estate consultant and founder of Silicon Beach Homes, argues that agents are wasting a powerful resource.
In Real Geeks' latest "Ask the Expert" session, she laid out a simple and effective strategy to help turn your website into a lead generation machine using search engine optimization (SEO).
Whether you’re completely new to SEO, or you're aware of the benefits and have been putting it off—this is the place to be.
Let's break it down into a digestible, step-by-step process you can start following today.
First, Get Familiar With Your Keywords
The very first thing you need to know is which keywords you should target.
In other words, which search terms would your leads use to find your website?
You should have a list of at least 10 of these keywords.
For instance, if you're selling homes in Myrtle Beach, your list could look like this:
1. homes for sale in myrtle beach
2. myrtle beach homes
3. properties in myrtle beach
4. condos for sale in myrtle beach
5. myrtle beach condos for sale
6. myrtle beach apartment sales
7. apartments for sale myrtle beach
8. cheap properties myrtle beach
9. myrtle beach golf home for sale
10. myrtle beach vacation homes for sale
Many of these are variations of one another (because leads will type them in differently), but they're also slight variations in terms of what each lead is looking for (condos, apartments, beach view homes, etc).
You could then add ten more keywords to this list if you're targeting specific neighborhoods, such as: "woodland park homes for sale", "apartments for sale in the dunes myrtle beach", etc.
And you can even get more specific, like "two bedroom homes myrtle beach", or "myrtle beach homes with pool for sale".
As you're thinking about the different ways your leads might find you, you'll probably realize you can come up with close to 100 keywords easily.
Keep this list handy, because it's your North Star guide. As you continue on to implement the following steps, you want to make sure these search terms are always top of mind.
Ideally, your website should be named using your broadest keyword—for example, something like "Myrtle Beach homes for sale".

If you already have a website you've been actively using for awhile, you may not want to switch domains—and that's okay. You can (and should) still optimize the pages within it by using your keywords strategically.
Next, Website Pages for The Win
If your website has less than 10 pages, you're missing out on serious SEO power.
The easiest way to start optimizing your website for more organic traffic? Have a page dedicated to each group of keywords from your list.
Let's revisit the Myrtle Beach example. We had keywords related to different neighborhoods, different types of homes, and even different preferences (like beachfront, or 2 bedroom homes).
Now, group your keywords into "clusters".
For example, the keywords "condo for sale in myrtle beach", "myrtle beach condos", "condos for sale myrtle beach" are all different ways of searching for the same thing—condos in Myrtle Beach.
In this case, you should have a page on your website titled: "Condos for Sale in Myrtle Beach."
Then, write some content showcasing your expertise on the area and providing value to your leads.
Next, you'll want to display Myrtle Beach condo properties on the page (which is easy using Real Geeks, and listings will update automatically with your MLS).
Why go through all this trouble? Because by adding these pages (and having the title, URL, and text include some targeted keywords) you're multiplying your chances of leads finding you via organic searches online.

Last, Blog Smarter & Simpler
The more valuable content you have on your website, the more of a digital footprint you're creating for your brand.
This doesn't just mean more leads—it means better quality leads who are already familiar and engaged with your offerings.
The best way to pull this off is by writing a blog.
It might sound like a chore, but having a library of valuable content to showcase your personality and professionalism, is one of the most powerful and underrated SEO strategies out there.
We know it can sound overwhelming at first thought — But you don’t have to come up with ideas from scratch.
Erin’s trick? Using Google Alerts. She sets daily alerts for:
“Real estate market [your city]”
“Home prices in [your city]”
“Things to do in [your city]”
Then, she skims the article headlines, picks one that’s timely or relevant, and writes 2–4 paragraphs with her take on it.
“The point isn’t to be a reporter." she explains, "It’s to show your voice, your expertise, and help people understand what’s happening locally.”
Pro tip: Set alerts for zip codes, school districts, or “housing forecast [your city]” to get hyper-local content ideas you can use.
Once you’ve found a solid article or headline, the process is simple:
1. Write a short intro (“I came across this great article about…”)
2. Give a quick summary of the article
3. Add your local expert take
4. Link to the original article (optional, but recommended)
No need to be fancy. You don't need to be the next New York Times—focus on building trust and providing real value.
Even one paragraph a week is better than nothing at all.
Primarily, you want search engines to see that your website is regularly updated with fresh, relevant content—this boosts your SEO.
Regular updates also show leads that you care, and that you understand the market.
The Two Low-Hanging Fruits
The formula is simple—build more pages on your website. Whether that's pages dedicated to listings, optimized for a group of keywords, or blog articles covering the latest real estate trends.
These are two activities you can do immediately to increase your organic traffic. And with SEO Fast Track, you can cut your work in half.
You may not get these done today or tomorrow, but if you can commit to...
1. Creating one new page every two weeks
2. Writing a quick blog post every two or three days
You'll very likely start seeing an impact within the first three months of your consistency—plus, with Real Geeks on your side, this process is infinitely easier.
Stay tuned for part two of this talk, where Erin covers some extra tips on how you can use your blog more effectively, as well as a forgotten strategy to improve your website's reputation.
