We sat down with James Cash, owner of Hero Realty Group to learn how he utilizes the Real Geeks platform to close deals throughout Anchorage, Alaska.
Why Alaska?
James loves the quality of life that you get living in Alaska. Less people means less traffic, higher wages, better opportunities, and more land when you purchase a home.

Starting Point
He started a KW back in 2013, and after 3 months on a team he decided to go solo. And of course, he needed leads.
After a quick search on Google he found that RealGeeks was one of the top 5 CRMs mentioned, and after reading review upon review, he decided to take the plunge.
"Truthfully, I first decided on RealGeeks because I was broke, and it was the cheapest CRM." he confesses.
Right now, it's a different story. He's got around 20,000 people in his database, and he's been involved in over 1,000 transactions since he started.
James' Favorite Features
When we asked James about which features from RealGeeks he uses the most, he couldn't put his finger on a single one.
"We use everything. From workflows, to texting, email blasting and campaigns. The video feature as well."
And of course, the basic CRM features like login notes, follow ups, appointments, custom tags.
"[RealGeeks] is the foundation of our business." he says. "It's where we go to find new leads, and to cultivate relationships that are either new and just starting out or we closed years ago and we follow up to catch up with them."
As he puts it, relationships are the foundation of any real estate practice.

"I've had Zillow as well, and I spent thousands of dollars of my money to find leads there, and especially this year it has been underperfoming. It was negative ROI for me this year."
So much so, that James thought his agents weren't handling the leads, so he hopped on Zillow himself for 45 days, and he closed a whopping…0 leads.
