Maintenance & Quality Updates

New map search tools, technical SEO improvements, Listing Boost, and updates to website tracking and login.

August brought several improvements across Real Geeks websites, the MoveTo App, and the Self Serve Ads Studio.

This month’s updates include a new way for buyers to search by location, cleaner signals for search engines, added website safeguards, and an easier way to promote listings on Facebook and Instagram.

Meta Pixel Safeguards for California Websites

Released: August 6

Meta Pixel tracking is now automatically disabled on websites associated with California MLS boards. This moves an existing privacy safeguard from manual handling to automatic enforcement.

What’s included:

• Meta Pixel tracking is disabled on existing websites associated with affected boards

• New websites added to those boards will follow the same rule automatically

What to expect:

If your website is associated with an affected California board, Meta tracking may be unavailable by design. No action is required.

Consumer Website Footer Update

Released: August 6

References to FNF RE Tech and related sister brands have been removed from consumer website footers.

What’s included:

• A simplified footer without references to related brands

• No changes to website tools or functionality

What to expect:

This is a cosmetic update and will not affect how clients or consumers use Real Geeks websites.

Facebook Login Temporarily Disabled

Released: August 10

Facebook login has been temporarily disabled across Real Geeks websites following reports of third-party warnings associated with the feature.

The login option has been removed as a precaution while the issue and potential next steps are reviewed.

What’s included:

• The Facebook login button has been removed from Real Geeks websites

• No action is required from clients

What to expect:

Facebook login will remain unavailable while the feature is under review.

MoveTo App Update (v11.1.2)

Released: August 13

The latest MoveTo App update adds a more flexible way to search the map, along with refreshed visuals and technical improvements.

What’s included:

• Freehand drawing for map searches

• Updated iconography throughout the app

• A fix for an Android crash related to app updates

• Additional technical improvements

What to expect:

Buyers can draw their preferred search area directly on the map for a more customized property search. Version 11.1.2 is available for iOS and Android.

Technical SEO Improvements for Websites

Released: August 20

We made two behind-the-scenes improvements to help search engines identify primary listing pages and avoid indexing unnecessary page variations.

What’s included:

• Different versions of a listing detail page now point search engines to one primary property URL

• Search and dynamically generated market report pages that should not appear in search results are now excluded from indexing

• Agent-created market report content pages remain indexable

What to expect:

These changes provide clearer signals to search engines and help concentrate SEO value on the pages intended to rank. No action is required.

Self Serve Ads Studio: Listing Boost — Open Beta

Released: August 25

Listing Boost is now available in open beta for all Real Geeks platform owners and users.

This new ad type lets you create Facebook and Instagram ads for your MLS listings directly from the Marketing navigation in the CRM.

What’s included:

• Available listings are automatically added using your agent MLS ID

• Select the property you want to promote without building an ad from scratch

• Choose your location and how long the ad should run

• Ads starting at $49, with daily budgets starting at $2

What to expect:

Listing Boost makes it easier to show sellers how you’re promoting their property while attracting interested buyers who may become future clients.
